I was out shopping a few days ago with my niece, see sister-in-law, search and my mom and I could already feel the festive holiday atmosphere. The roads and malls were pretty packed. On social media, I was already seeing some photos from different holiday gatherings.

And while it's totally okay to dress up with all the sparkles and glitters, sometimes, we can just leave all the over-embellishments to our Christmas trees and dress up a little dainty for the holiday parties we're going to.  Well…okay, maybe not so dainty, but perhaps a minimal sequin shift dress like this one I'm wearing on this post from Gentle Fawn. If you're looking for something like this, you can thank me later. Ha.

The sequins may not be obvious in the photos but the stripes you see are actually sequins. Because the dress as whole looks pretty simple and neutral, the way to go is accessorize. Still not over the top though to keep the minimal look and pop it off with a pair of sexy red ankle strap heels.

I remember when I was wearing a simple beige shift dress to go to a Broadway show with my boyfriend…he complimented me and said "Your dress looks so simple but you look so pretty." See ladies, it isn't always about the dress. *Wink* As YSL quoted, "Over the years, I have learned that what is important in the dress is the woman who is wearing it."

You can be wearing the simplest dress during this season but if you pull it off with class and elegance, you're a winner!
