Y'all…Crabfest is ON at Red Lobster! It's been awhile since I've eaten at Red Lobster and I've been meaning to visit it for the longest time, considering that there's one only 5 minutes away from my house and I always pass by it whenever I go to Pearland Town Center. During Crabfest, Red Lobster serves the most delicious crab menus for a limited time only. So it's the best way to enjoy different crab dishes!
So my fiancé and I headed to Red Lobster last Sunday and had our crab feast because we're just #CrabHungry!
My fiancé ordered their newest drink called Rogue Wave. It's a concoction of Sauza Gold tequila, blue curacao and house margarita mix topped with a splash of ginger ale and served on the rocks in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar with the Deadliest Catch™ logo. If y'all watch that TV show, you know how crazy and dangerous catching crabs can be! All we get to do is enjoy the crab after the dangerous feat. I love that we got to keep the mason jar with the show's logo.
One of my favorite things at Red Lobster is their delicious cheese biscuits! I mean who doesn't love them? That right there is a meal for me…I mean, okay, maybe about 4 of them makes a meal for me. *Grins*
My fiancé ordered their newest appetizer Panko-crusted crab fritters served on a layer of french fries and with a side of Meyer lemon aioli.
All the dishes on their Crabfest menu look absolutely delicious but I decided to go for the Crab Cakes & Crab-Oscar Salmon. Again, it's a new item. With this dish, you can choose to upgrade to a seasonal wild-caught Alaska salmon. You can get sockeye from May to September while Coho from June to October. Sockeye Salmon has a deep, red flesh that has distinctive rich flavor and firm texture while Coho Salmon has orange-red flesh, delicate flavor and a firm texture.
Obviously, you can enjoy your entrée with any of their existing sides but I upgraded to their Grilled Corn with Cheese & Cilantro-Lime Butter for an additional cost of $1.99. I totally love grilled corn and what's interest is it's inpsired by a Mexican street food.
While I opted for a crab meal that's ready for me to chow down without cracking (ha!), my fiancé decided to order the Ultimate Feast…and boy oh boy, it sure was a feast! It had Maine lobster tail, North American snow crab legs, and garlic shrimp scampi, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp served with pilaf rice and brocolli (his choice of side).
By the way, here's a video of Chef Heidi showing some great tips on how to crack crab legs and enjoy those meat! A little tutorial video on how to do sure does help.
And before we thoroughly went into a beautiful food coma, I ordered their Homemade Berry Shore-Cake. It's strawberries and blueberries seasonal berries piled between layers of buttery homemade shortcake, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!!! I went to heaven and came back the first time I put that first service in my mouth. Ooooh! You guys really ought to try this one!
Crabfest is for a limited time only and I REALLY suggest that you head out to your nearest Red Lobster pretty soon and have some of their delicious crab dishes before it's gooooone! Visit the Crabfest website to learn more about how you can win dinner with Captain Sig of the Deadliest Catch, and a tour of the Northwestern!
