The title of this post is quite an oxymoron but that’s the way I can describe it so far. I must be honest that I really am not complaining. Lows in the 50s in the mornings and 80s in the afternoon…I’ll take that anytime so I can still wear my summer pieces and yet still make it fit for Fall. Although I know many of Houstonians are ready to bust out their coats and tall boots, the weather doesn’t allow for that yet. I know some are getting a little impatient already. As for me, wearing this dress from Dottie Couture matched with a faux leather vest is a simple idea to make fall fashion work in this weather.

Although I would probably normally wear them with a pair of booties, I decided to go with my new monogrammed quilted riding boots from Tiny Tulip. See they do look kinda black-ish in photos but they are actually dark browns so from my vest to my bag to my boots, I created some sort of contrast and monochromatic effect which no one may notice immediately. Oh well. Back to Tiny Tulip, they do specialize in amazing monogrammed/personalized items…including these boots. I didn’t know that you can even personalize your boots. How cool is that?!
