Thank you everyone for all your birthday greetings yesterday! I had a pretty uneventful birthday. It was quiet for the most part and in the afternoon, my mom and I braved the 50 degree weather to shoot this outfit so I can comply with my own Birthday Week Series project. The things that I do to myself (and my mom) sometimes! Anyway, I think as you get older the "magic" of birthdays go away. You no longer look forward to parties and gifts. Sometimes, you just want the day to be peaceful, spent with your family. Last Friday though, some of my friends from church, threw a surprised birthday party for me. Thought that was really cool because I don't ever remember having a surprised birthday party before. The food was delicious (Thanks to my beautiful Brazilian friend Gisele for cooking the delicious menu!) So anyway, as I mentioned yesterday, I will attempt to do a pink and red outfit here on my blog this week in honor of my birthday and pre-Valentine's. This red bow dress can be a cute Valentine's outfit if you're going out on a date. It's a little too short to be on the dress side but it's nothing that wearing tights can't fix. If it's too cold in your location, consider putting on a jacket, a coat, or a cardigan. Going for some lighter accents makes it a bit less than "dracula-ish", if you know what I mean…red and black, you know? Although I'm sure dracula isn't the original "color schemer" of red and black. I could see the bow trend coming back this spring and summer like it did last year. Oooh, so feminine!
