I have received a ton of beauty products in the mail lately and it’s just going to be impossible to be able to try them all at once and provide a review at the soonest possible time. So I thought I’d show you what’s coming up in the next few weeks in the Beauty Department here at the Virtual Style Diary of Lynne Gabriel. These beauty products will also definitely make great Christmas stocking stuffers!
Essie Nail Polish 2012 Winter Collection
I never really grow my nails but I love painting them with different colors anyways. So when I was told I was going to receive Essie’s 2012 Winter Collection, I was so thrilled! (Thanks to Sandee Reyes!) It had 6 different colors. Actually three of them in 3 different shades of red, which are absolutely perfect for the holidays.
I’ve already used a combination of Butler Please (Cobalt Blue) and Where’s my Chauffeur (Mint Green) as you might have seen in my past couple of posts or so.
Here are some of the new skin care products that I received which I honestly have not yet tried because I just got them last week. I’m still working on some of the skin care products I received several weeks ago. As soon as I finish them, I would definitely get on this.
From left to right: Obagi ELASTILash (oops this is not a skin care product!) | Vichy ProEVEN Mineral BB Cream | La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra | TURO Skin 3-in-1 Shower Cleanser (This is actually for men so I probably won’t be able to use this one unless I wanna smell like one, haha!) | Australian Gold Self-Tanning (For those of you who are into tanning)
If you noticed, I hardly ever wear my hair differently. I also hardly use any hair accessories. Not that I don’t have any, I just don’t use them often. These Goody Doublewear are pretty awesome though! I got the Beaded Headwrap and Necklace and Ribbon Woven Golden Layered – both can be worn as a headband or a necklace. I’m definitely going to be using these in one of my future outfits.
Because my hair is naturally straight and sleek, I often find it limp. Without wind during photoshoots, they totally look volumeless. Again, I hardly ever use chemical products on my hair but I’ve read some reviews about this Schwartzkopf got2b Powdeful – some positive and some negative. I may give it a try also one of these days to see how it volumizes my hair. They are available at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and even on Amazon.
My Belson Pro flat iron which I got a couple of years ago is ready to die on me it seems. So the arrival of this Solano SleekHeat450 is just right on time. My hair is naturally straight but I use it to tame some frizzy strands every now and then or curl the ends. I can’t wait to try this one!

What fun to try out all of these products! I gave a gift subscription to Birchbox earlier this year, was neat to see the different samples of things we might have never tried.
