Awhile back, buy I reviewed Aerie’s (an American Eagle Outfitter division) bra guide. If you missed that blog post, you can find it here. I think American Eagle Outfitters is truly on a mission to make shopping on their ae.com website as seamless and as effortless as possible to help you, the shopper, find what you’re looking for. Leaving no room for you to leave without hitting that “Place the Order” button or something.
This time, I am going to show you their Jeans Guide. If you’re in the market to buy some new pair of jeans for fall, I suggest checking ae.com out and see for yourself how jeans shopping on their website goes for you.
When you go to their website and click on Jeans –> Women’s, below is the screen that you will get. AEO Jeans as you can see, have 14 fits, 60 different washes and come in 48 sizes. Now that’s a lot of choices! Granted, you pretty much already know your size but having to select the fit and the wash that you want can be complicated sometimes. I know because I had a hard time selecting a pair of jeans from another brand’s website. So being able to see all the types of fits and washes in one page makes a lot things easier for me. I do always wear skinny jeans for the most part but you know, a girl can change her mind sometimes. For example, I didn’t use to wear mid-rise but recently, I find myself wanting to wear mid-rise.
A woman of course is an expert in several selections and mind-changing one hundred twenty thousand times but a seamless jeans selection and purchase can save us a lot of time. If you will notice, there are some filters that will allow you to shop by size and sort by featured.
When I’ve made up my mind that I wanted the Mid-Rise Super Skinny, I just clicked on one of the photos on the screen above and took me to the page shown below. This page alone has pretty much all the information that you need. It gives you the fit info, their guarantee, and you can even compare the different types of fits based on your skinny selection. All of that without really leaving the page because all you have to do is click on the sidetabs.
I really like the “Compare Fits” feature. It comes in handy to those who are looking to try out a new fit.
On the same page, you can find all the wash types available for the style you selected.
Just like any other online shopping, you just have to click on the particular image to make your selection and it will take you to the product page.
Now, with all the features to make jeans shopping easy, it’s still not error proof. Not on ae.com’s side but on the customer’s side. For example, I chose a size 4, when I’m normally a size 2. I don’t know why I picked it when I was pretty sure I looked at the size guide. The best part though is if the size doesn’t fit right or you’d like to exchange or return it for whatever reason, their return/exchange process is as easy as ordering. I ended up returning my jeans for a size exchange.
Overall though, I enjoyed how seamless the selection process is and even with the deepest of links, it’s still easy to return to the Jeans Guide again. If you’d like to check it out, go to ae.com. With the Labor Day coming, they are offering a 25% OFF your purchase with code 952367P1. Happy shopping!
