As you all know, last week I got to go to Simon Fashion Now™ presented by Cadillac event and was so thrilled to be given a super stylish Cadillac CTS ride. What a God-given opportunity!
Not only did I enjoy the event a lot but I also enjoyed the CTS for one full week! The experience was truly delightful. See, I’m a simple girl who’s been driving my humble 2007 Mazda 3 for a few years now. I am thankful for my car who has served me and is still serving me well to this day, haha. To drive a luxury car for one full week such as the Cadillac CTS is surreal!
The car was picked up this morning *sob sob*. It was a sad day but I had good memories with the gorgeous cobalt blue baby and here’s some snapshots from our time together.
Thanks to Liz of Elle Lauri at www.ellelauri.com for sending me the Carrie skirt (c/o) just in time for the fashion event. Thought it looked really great with the CTS and my matching Forever21 sequined top, A’gaci blazer, and A’gaci blue suede shoes.
Elle Lauri , which I believe is a combination of the nicknames of the two sisters Elizabeth and Laura who founded it, is carrying the most fashionable and trendiest clothing for Spring/Summer 2012 with different selections of pastels, brights, solids, and printed. More about them on another outfit post.
For the meantime, hope you enjoy these pictures!
On to the Cadillac experience…
Humbly I say, I never knew what a luxury car feels like (to those of you driving one, don’t judge, LOL) until I drove Cadillac CTS. Well, okay, that’s probably not completely true. I have test driven a friend’s Jaguar before. But to have driven for a week the Cadillac CTS was completely freaking awesome, haha!
The thing I loved the most about this car was the OnStar navigation system. Forgive me if every new car nowadays has it and I just don’t know but I thought it’s pretty cool. I don’t always have a need for navigation but a couple of times during the time I had it, I had a need to use it. It had the option of me giving it directions or talking to a live person. For the most part, I ended up talking to the live person they call “Advisor” because the machine could not recognize Houston, Texas, perhaps because of my strong accent (sheez, thank you! lol).
At one point also, an automated voice just popped up telling us there was a traffic jam about half a mile ahead. Mom got scared a little bit there but she recovered and loved the car even more, lol. Even though the voice said the jam was about a mile ahead, unfortunately, during that time, we were already stuck in traffic.
Another thing I loved was the key less feature! Basically, all you have to do is get in the car and turn on the engine with what seems to be a key stuck in the ignition.
Other than the excellent aesthetic looks of the CTS, the vehicle has a lot more exciting features that I didn’t get to explore at all. I saw that there is a built-in heater on the driver and passenger seats but with the 80ish weather in Houston the past week or so, I dared not to even try it, haha. The vehicle also had moon roof (which is probably an upgrade), leather interiors and touch screen. It also has a very spacious interior.
Overall, the CTS is a great car, especially for bachelors and bachelorettes because it’s very stylish!

Love Cadillacs, they are gorgeous cars, love how you matched the blue in your outfit with the car (don't know if that was intentional) lol :)
