Last November 6, another H&M stored opened in Houston, Texas. This time, it’s in the Galleria, which is an upscale mall. There is so far about 4 H&M branches in Houston and the suburbs. I remember when the first H&M store opened in Baybrook Mall. Everyone in Houston was super ecstatic. I remember going a bit crazy shopping then.
I was honored to have, once again, covered and “hosted” this grand opening event. If you will remember, I also covered the opening event in Katy Mills back in the summer. If you missed that post, you can check it out here.
There were about 700 people who stood in line for the opening from what I was told. Once the store opened, customers who were interested in grabbing something from the Alexander Wang x H&M Collection had to stand in another line inside the store. The collection was very limited and some pieces sold out almost immediately.
I did a giveaway for a $100 gift card outside the store to the people standing in line and I picked 5 winners who had an early access to the store. For those who were amongst the first 100 customers in line, they also received an Access to Fashion pass valued from $10-$200, in addition to their $100 gift card.
Below is my recap of the event in a photo slideshow.
