I've been wanting to tell you what's in my heart for the past few years but I don't have the courage for fear that I would say something that will hurt you and I will just regret it. But I feel that this is the right time and I need to do this.

See I always thought we've got something great going on. We've had each other since I was born but I wasn't really conscious of how you look until I was in high school. I mean, you didn't look bad at all. We don't look bad together, I know that. I just have some issues with you that's all and please allow me to voice it out.

My friends would laugh when I'd tell that I'm having a bad day with you. They don't seem to believe that there are days when I don't get you. You get on my nerves. Sometimes I try everything on how to manage you but still. There are times when I feel that my best isn't enough for you. The struggle is real and they just don't see it. They see you and I from the surface when we're already kissy face. When you look prim and proper after an hour or so of trying to make it right with you.

Please don't get me wrong. We've had amazing, beautiful, and happy days. And I'm grateful for you cuz I know that there are others who have worst struggles with their hair. But I know that you can do more and yet a lot of times, you just want to slack off and be mediocre. When I'm not doing a photo shoot or I'm not going out or going to an event, I am okay with you being just the way you are. But it's when I'm doing a photo shoot that you're giving me the hardest time. When I need you to have more volume, you're in your limpiest and frizziest moment and I need a little bit of wind during our photo shoot so you can look better in photos. When I am okay with you being limp while lounging around the house or working from home, that's when you look like you have the most volume. Do you understand where I'm coming from?

And no, I am not parting ways with you. I mean, how can we? Think about it. You're something I can't live without. I'm stuck with you for life. But that's why I'm trying to make this work. I love you, hair. I really do. To prove that, I am willing to do everything to find a solution for your issues. In case you haven't realized, I've been using on you L'Oreal's Smooth Intense Polishing Shampoo from their Advanced Hair Care line. It's supposed to soften and tame rough textures and I have noticed a difference of how you're behaving these days. I have also been using their conditioner which when used with the serum or creme, it's supposed to control your frizz for up to 72 hours. Amazing isn't it? I think you're responding well and when you look beautiful, I am happy because you make me feel pretty!

I knew we can make this work…and we can live happily ever after…
