I hardly ever talk about my beauty routine or any beauty or skin care items here on my blog but that does not mean to say I don't have any. Which girl doesn't have any anyways? Thought I'd share with you the recent beauty products I have received in the mail…
I received this surprise gift in the mail a few days ago (Thanks Vbeauté and the PR Boutique!) and have only tried it after attending an intimate event with the founder Julie Macklowe at Hair Therapy Studio.
The IT kit is a travel size kit of 5 of VBeauté products (retails for $165) – Undercover Agent, prostate Rub Off, diagnosis Evidence Eraser, tadalafil Buying Time, and Eye Never. Vbeauté products are based on Swiss Alpine Rose Botanical Technology (ARBT)which is an age-antagonist that provides antioxidant protection in relation to UV damage. Honestly, I don't pretend to fully understand this cellular and botanical technology. I'm also not at a point yet where I need to use anti-aging products. However, I do believe that finding that perfect skin care system that works without causing long term unknown damage is important. I have tried other cheaper "organic" products that I purchased from Walgreen's and had caused my skin to breakout. I was quite hesitant to try this one but at the event, Deborah, the COO, demo the products on the back of my hand and I noticed how immediately the texture of my skin changed. It was silky smooth so when I got home, I tried the kit and was happy with the results so far. It is definitely worth investing on more expensive products when it comes to skin care.
2. BeautyMint Advanced 5 Piece Skin Care System
I have received this BeautyMint kit as a gift also but have yet to try it (Thanks to Jennifer of BeachMint!). If you're not familiar with BeautyMint, it is Jessica Simpson's collaboration with Nerida Joy, a skin care expert for over 30 years with clients including Jennifer Garner, Mia Maestro, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Madeleine Stowe, Rachel Nichols, Kate Beckinsale, Tyra Banks, Isla Fisher, and Cat Deeley. She has been named one of the nation’s “Top 15 Facialists”. When you join BeautyMint, you will be asked a few questions to create your "skin care profile" based on the type of your skin and skin condition. I was given two systems based on my skin and I picked "Jessica's Recommendation" which is this Advanced 5 Piece System that consists of Cleanser, Replenishing Serum, Hydrator, Moisturizer, and Brightening Eye Gel. I'm hoping to try these soon.
3. Butter London Nail Polish Set
An awesome set of Butter London nail polish – another gift which I also received, courtesy of Coterie, a site that curates the best of the best beauty products (thanks to IFABBO for the VIP access code!). Honestly, I am not into expensive nail polish brands. I change my nail color every week so buying expensive brands just make no sense to me. However, upon trying out Butter London nail polish, I noticed that it is easier to apply on my nails and dries a lot quicker than those cheaper brands. I picked these three colors: West End Wonderland, Knackered, and Pillar Box Red, which are perfect fall colors and along with it came a Matte Finish polish.
On another note, this adorable "I Am Loved" teddy bear with a pouch carrying a fresh water cultured pearl bracelet with "I Am Loved" also came in the mail the other day. Thanks to Helzberg Diamonds and Fleishman-Hillard in Kansas City, Mo! I'm such a baby girl when it comes to teddy bears. I must admit, they melt my heart! I'm feeling so blessed and a little spoiled that all these wonderful things come to me. Grateful to Jesus is all I could say!
