As much as we women love to look nice and pretty all the time, it's also not advisable to always wear heavy make-up. I, personally, don't wear make-up everyday and when I have to, it's usually only on Sundays to go to church or when I have to go to events or do a photoshoot.
But there is a way to do your make-up without looking make-up heavy, especially during the day. One of the things my mom instilled in me was to not always put make-up on or at least not put heavy make-up everyday so that when I do have to put make-up on, the change will be more dramatic.
You will notice on my photos that I normally do heavy eye make-up to make my eyes a bit bigger. On this post though, I went for the all-natural look. In person, I still look polished but more natural.
I used some products that I picked up from my local HEB but they are also available online at www.heb.com. HEB has definitely become a one-stop shop for me a lot lately. I can do my regular grocery shopping and pick up some of my beauty products while there as well. They have a full Beauty Section where you can find the pharmacy brands that you love and more!
They key to a natural make-up look is using a lot of nudes. I'm loving Physicians Formula brand lately so on this post, you will find that most of the items that I used are from this brand with a couple from L'Oreal and Maybelline. I got all of which though, like I said, from my local HEB.
For The Face
So I started my look with the Physicians Formula Foundation. Honestly, it's the bow, leather, and bronze container with the brush really enticed me in picking this up and trying it! Unfortunately, this particular product is not available online but check out your local HEB and I'm sure you will find it.
I used Physicians Formula Super BB Insta Ready Powder to layer, contour, and add more covering and finished off the look with L'Oreal Paris Bare Naturale Light Ivory Gentle Mineral Makeup and Physicians Formula Happy Booster Natural Glow and Mood Boosting Blush to add some
For The Eyes
For my eyes, instead of using my regular black eyeshadow and black eyeliner, I went for the nude shades from the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Eyes Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Eyeliner. I just played with some of the shades I found from the palette and absolutely loved the result (at least in person!). One tip to make your natural look to look not dull is to use some shimmer! In this case, the eyeshadow that I used is already shimmery.
I used Physicians Formula Nude Wear Nude Glow Concealer under my eyes and layed it with a white/ivory shimmery shade from the same pallette above to put a glow and make the area under my eyes lighter and brighter.
But my favorite thing in this world right now is Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeliner Trio. It comes in a set of 3 different shades: black, brown, and bronze. Man, this trip makes a lot of difference for a day look! I just love how I can still have eyeliner and not look to heavy on my eye make-up. It's also very easy to apply. I finished off the look with L'Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara which I love and use regularly. It comes in 2-step: 1st and 2nd layer for fuller and longer eyelashes.
For the Lips
For your lips, you can always opt for a pop of color like a hot pink or salmon. I went for the blush one to stick with what I was going for. My favorite lip stain is Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Color. I've been using it for several years now and I have the hot pink and red shades. This is my first time using this particular shade and it looks really feminine in person. I love it!
Ladies, check out www.heb.com. They do have thousands of products available for ordering online and chances are the beauty products and brands that you love and use throughout the years are there. I also suggest trying the products I used above as I'm sure you will love them!
