What is your go-to style when it comes to dresses? Fit and flare, bodycon, maxis, or tunics? I think each one has advantages and disadvantages. However, when it comes to comfort level, I’d say that maxis and tunics are the winners. For one, they are just so easy to wear, usually with minimum styling needed. Most tunics though are often just straight. However, this one from Poise and Aplomb Boutique has an elastic cinching at the waist so I decided to put one of my skinny bow belts on. How often do you find a tunic with geometric pattern? Not too frequently, I’d guess. This is why I believe this tunic is a great piece because although the cut is pretty common, the print that the material came in isn’t. From afar, it looks more like chevron but when you take a closer look, it isn’t.
Now, if you have a dress like this in a bright color and geometric prints, do you go neutral in jewelries and accessories or pop it off with a different color? Personally, you know my answer and you see it in the photos. Most women though may not be bold enough to add another color like I did but if you’d like to try, make sure to find a color that either compliment the main color of your dress or contrast it tastefully. In this case, I couldn’t think of a perfect match but mint or turquoise. Coincidentally, I have a lovely statement necklace from Nside a Diva’s Closet that has pink and mint stones as well so I thought it’s also a perfect match with the dress. If you think someone loves the pink and mint combination a little too much, then you’re probably right. *Wink*
