To my dear readers from across the world: Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day here in the United States and other than the fact it is the day that we honor the brave men and women who serve our country and those who have given their lives for our protection and freedom, click it was also a much needed long weekend for many.
It was super hot in Houston yesterday (high 90s) and a lot of people I'm pretty sure were in the pool or at the beach. I, order on the other hand, went to the mall with my mom, trying to find some comfortable espadrille wedges.
Anyways, looking at trends earlier this month, I noticed that nautical themes are emerging as we move into summer. I'm just really feelin' that whole theme but not too many shops carry nautical prints and styles yet, so I figured, why not come up with my own and be one of the first ones to wear such?
Thankfully, I found a couple of pieces from TFNC London that totally gave me the look that I wanted! I paired this blue and beige stripes dress and red boyfriend blazer from TFNC's sister brand WalG (c/o).
And what better colored shoes to match red and blue with but yellow. Okay these trusted oldie but goodie Anne Michelle shoes are really mustard in person but it matched perfectly anyways.
These days also, I'm trying to wear minimal jewelries. With the hot and humid weather in Houston, I just want to feel "light" overall even with a blazer so I picked this Pop of Chic necklace (c/o) to grace my neckline but still not over the top.
What do you think about the outfit?
