Woohoo! It’s Monday! Some of you may not necessarily feel that way…I love Mondays, I know, I can be weird. It’s officially the first day of fall! All week has been warm in Houston so I’m taking advantage of shooting fall outfits while it’s still warm because it’s a lot easier for me to be sweating in layered outfits than to be freezing in cold weather.

So today’s outfit has a southern vibe to it. Shift dresses are always easy to style and for the most part, you can wear them as is. But for fall, layering really adds more flavor to such a simple dress so adding a cardigan, a jacket or a vest will look great. In this case, since it’s still not cold, I chose a jean vest from Deb Shops. The beauty of this particular shift dress from Charlotte Russe is really in the hem…the scallopped hem! This is still available and I put the direct link on the Outfit Recap above. Turquoise and magenta is a lovely color combination so I added pops of turquoise here and there in my jewelries.
