Neon Camouflage

My mom and I were at Forever21 about a week ago just looking around and I noticed that there were still so many neon in the racks at regular prices – blazers, shorts, tops. You’d think that since fall is here, neon items will start to phase out by now. I’m sure, though, eventually they will.

One of the best fashion advice I have heard was from Simon’s Style Expert Jaque Ellis which was not to overly spend on trendy items but to incorporate trends instead in your outfits by means of accessories. In my opinion, another way of doing it is to also just use a piece or two in your outfit. I have never gone neon on neon just because in reality, I don’t see myself wearing a neon top over a neon skirt while wearing neon shoes (which by the way I have seen) in person. I just don’t want to be that walking highlighter where people can see me from 10 miles away. Although, you will see me pretty soon on a neon dress (hint hint).

On another note, another trend that I have been seeing these days is the denim jacket or vest trend. I found this denim vest from Storets, an online store based in Singapore, and I just loved the pearls that embellished the left pocket and shoulder. It’s also worth mentioning that this store shipped the package via DHL which only took about 4-5 days I believe to be delivered to me! I suggest checking them out because they really have some fun and cute clothes.
