I was invited the other night, medical amongst other Houston fashion bloggers, patient to dress up one of Langford Market's mannequins at their University Blvd. branch. I thought I wasn't going to make it because I had prior commitments but Amber Twis, sovaldi the manager, was so kind to let me style my mannequin ahead of time :) Unfortunately, I was not able to take photos of the mannequins styled by the other bloggers but I'm sure they did great!
This was my rack as I was picking out clothes for my mannequin.
Here's what I picked from the store: A royal blue electric pleated dress and a printed tangerine kimono style overblouse. Since I feel that Fall colors can be quite dull, I chose these festive colors. Besides, the 2012 color is Tangerine Tango! I also got a fur scarf and a tan coat to make it more seasonal. Then I picked a couple of gold necklaces and put them together.
Here's my mannequin! :)
The thin orange belt came with the dress. Instead of putting it inside, I tucked the overblouse inside it instead.
Here are the two necklaces that I combined.
It was so much fun doing it, even though I was in a rush. It brought back childhood memories when we used to have our own clothing boutique back in the Philippines and I would see our designer and our employee dressing up our mannequin.

Langford Houston is a really cool local boutique! It's very cozy and the staff is really friendly. The branch I went to was at 2517 University Blvd in Houston.
