La Mesilla, New Mexico

As some of you may know, I went to El Paso last week and had the opportunity to shoot with 4 different professional photographers. So in the next few days or weeks, you will see a bit of a different feel and backdrops on my photos.  Today’s outfit post was just one of the shoots that I had. These pictures were taken in La Mesilla, New Mexico, which was about a 45-minute drive I believe from El Paso.

I must admit that I was a bit nervous and intimidated, but David Parish, the pro photographer whom I had the privilege of working with for this outfit, made the session so much fun! I’m sure you will notice that I was actually laughing and smiling with my teeth showing (aha!) in my pictures. Now…this color block dress from Oh La Luxe is just adorable. I’m not the bustier or tube-dress type of gal but I will say that I’m exploring it more these days. I usually don’t find them comfortable yet this one didn’t give me a hard time at all. And since its color-blocking is in primary colors, it wasn’t too difficult to style and find accessories to match it. Instead of picking the usual red or perhaps blue that will definitely go well with it, I picked lavender and purple. Didn’t come out too bad, right? *Wink*
