I'm sure that many of us women face quite a challenge when seasons change. Here in Texas, particularly in Houston, we don't necessarily experience winter with snow and all, but we still get cooler weather in fall and winter, so technically, we still have to wear cold-proof outfits. When fall comes, we're thinking we're stuck with our trendy summer staples and we either donate them or keep it until the next summer comes. Unless we get quite creative with our styling, then we can totally make use of some of our summer clothing items, which is very possible! It really doesn't take much to do it. A lot of times, a key seasonal piece can completely transform your other pieces as you put them all together.
For example: Below, I'm wearing a shift dress with neon trimmings. The style, the color, the details – they're perfect for summer. But what about for fall? Simple! What I did was take another piece from summer which is this black and white blazer from Karen Kane. Black and white was huge in summer but the good thing is that it's also being carried over into fall. So by combining two summer items and matching them with a pair of fringe booties, I'm ready to make a bright fashion-forward statement outfit using my summer staples…for work and play!
