From Overseas with Love

Today’s outfit, from top to bottom (except the accessories),  is from three different overseas vendors. I love what technology has created, not only to better the lives of people (and sometimes to somehow complicate them) but to connect vendors and shoppers from all over the world. I think the virtual commerce that the internet has created has benefited both businesses and consumers alike.

The only issue I guess I have with overseas vendors is the shipping  time frame. It usually takes anywhere from 2-3 weeks, depending on what shipping method you chose and how long the package takes to be cleared in the customs. So if you check out any of the overseas vendors you find here on my blog, please make sure to give plenty of time if you find something that you like from them. Be also sure to check the sizing guide as sometimes because of the cost of shipping, it is quite complicated to do an exchange or return with overseas vendors.

One that is worthy of mention though in this post is the pair of beautiful shoes sent to me by shoe designer Sarah of Glam Rock Chic which is actually located in Malaysia. They shipped out the package via UPS and I received it in about 4 or 5 days. Not only was I happy with the service but with the shoes itself. They are very detailed and very intricately made. The heels are not too high and the soles are actually padded so they are comfortable. If you will notice (scroll all the way down for detailed pics of the shoes), there is a flap by the zip in the back that’s sticking out. Sarah mentioned that she intentionally designed it that way to protect your skin from being chaffed and sure enough, I wore it for a few hours at an event and my feet had no bruise at all.
