As I have mentioned quite a few times here on my blog, I have never really been employed in the corporate world, thus the scarce work style posts here on my blog. However, here is another attempt to show you one that might be acceptable. Again, this is put together with my colorful and creative lens of style so I’m not sure if this is truly acceptable in the workplace. In some work places perhaps? I mean, why not? The pencil skirt has a modest lenght, after all it’s a midi. The only thing is that it’s not the usual color combination that’s normally used, right? This is a total contrast that still makes sense. It’s not completely out of this world though. Just a contrast color scheming, that’s all. It wouldn’t hurt to show up one time at work once or twice in this outfit, would it? Do it one time, two times, three times…show up fashionable and different each time and eventually your boss will get used to your sense of fashion. Just make sure it’s still classy so you can make an impact in the fashion atmosphere (if any) at your work.
I must mention though that just because I have put these two pieces together to make a work style, it doesn’t mean that you can’t use them together or individually for play and fun! Think denim shorts with the baseball top or crop or flowy top with the midi skirt. Use wedges or sandals to replace stilettos. Speaking of which, I have used these mint pair before but with a pair of pants so you could hardly see them. I love the pastel colors combined with the stripped midi skirt. Black and white seriously does look well with SO much. It's such a statement piece! Love this look.
