I'm slowing going back to the swing of things guys! It's been a few months of wedding planning and then the wedding and honeymoon. It's been such a whirlwind…a roller coaster journey to say the least.
It's been an exciting time in my life and truly grateful for all the blessings. I can't believe that it's been a little over a month since I got married! My husband and I wanted to celebrate our "first month anniversary" but not entirely sure what happened but we didn't get to. So we went to Red Lobster the other day instead to celebrate.
Since it's Lobsterfest, it totally was the perfect time to not only celebrate our first month of marriage bliss but also to visit Red Lobster and munch on those delicious lobster tails!
Drinks
Red Lobster has this delicious Strawberry Lemonade that you ought to try!
Starters
You already know…Red Lobster is not only famous for their lobsters but for their yummy biscuits! I met up my husband at the restaurant yesterday but when he was leaving his office, he told his co-worker where we going for lunch and he said Red Lobster. His co-worker's eyes grew big and said "Oooooohhhhh those biscuits!" She said she could eat a whole basket of those by her self. HA! We couldn't agree more.
And during Lobsterfest, Red Lobster normally adds new and exciting dishes in their menu. We picked this Chilled and Lobster Shrimp Cocktail. This was just seafood heaven! You can have this appetizer and be full and happily satisfied. The shrimps are huge and both the shrimp and lobster tails are delicious, especially when dipped in the red cocktail sauce.
Entrées
What I love about Lobsterfest at Red Lobster is the simplicity of the menu. As previously mentioned, they normally add a couple of lobster-filled dishes that are not part of their regular menu.
For Lobsterfest 2017, they added Lobster Mix and Match and Lobsterfest Surf & Turf as entrées.
With Lobster Mix and Match, you can choose two lobster tails from four choices to create your own entrée, including: Creamy Shrimp-Topped Lobster Tail, Seafood-Stuffed Lobster Tail, Steamed Maine Lobster Tail, or Grilled Maine Lobster Tail.
Since I wanted just lobster, I picked two lobster tails for my entree and a side of mashed potatoes and green beans. Yummmy!
My husband picked the Lobsterfest Surf and Turf. With it, you can order a lobster with other proteins. He chose a wood-grilled sirloin topped with shrimp and lobster cream sauce and came with a side of steamed brocolli and mashed potatoes. However, he also ordered a side of caprese which was delicious!
We came out of the restaurant absolutely stuffed and satisfied. Our server Ashley was such a delight. She had a wonderful personality and was always happy to answer any of our questions about the meals. Don't you just love the feeling when the service was great and the food was great? Love it when yummy goes in my tummy! Ha! Lobsterfest is a limited-time event at Red Lobster so be sure to visit your local Red Lobster soon. Go to www.redlobster.com to find a location near you. Also check them out in their social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
