If you read the quick ABOUT ME portion on the right hand sidebar of this blog the first time you got here, you would have known that I’m not very adventurous when it comes to hair styles. I’ve always had long hair but there were a handful occasions when I was going through something and my hair became my unfortunate outlet.
It has been a year and a half since I had gone to the salon. The last time I went, I told the stylist, I want a trim up to my bra line. Well, my hair turned out to be about 3″ above my bra line. Needless to say, I thought it was the biggest mistake of my life and I almost wanted to strangle the stylist (Okay that’s a joke obviously!). I waited about a year for it to grow the length where I had it before (the hair length I have now). We women, though, get bored with the way our hair looks sometimes. I wanted to have a different look without the risk. That said, my sister in law always wanted a headband bangs. Well we thought it was a some sort of a headband anyways. So me and my mom went to a local beauty shop and found out about this “clip-in” bangs. So yes, the bangs you have been seeing are just clip-in! The brand is called Remy Hair Couture and the color I have is 1B. Thankfully, there is one that matches my hair color (naturally dark brown) and texture perfectly. It’s a 100% human hair supposedly – you can wash and condition it and you can flat iron it as well. However, what I don’t like about it is it’s super thick sometimes the top part and the sides stick out, making it hard to manage, especially with the wind. I guess it’s because my hair doesn’t really have a volume. I really think it would have looked more natural if they are thinner. Overall, it’s a temporary fix that “can-do” for those like me who wants to have a change in look without taking the risk.
Having those temporary clip-in bangs, no matter how great they make look on me (yes I’ve gotten a lot of compliments, modesty aside), just confirmed that I didn’t want to have one because of it’s manageability and maintenance. But then…maybe someday I’ll change my mind. *Wink*
