School is out, summer is in! The season is getting hotter by the day and the colors in fashion definitely got even brighter. There’s just no stopping anymore with the fun prints, bright colors, and chic styles.
One of the hottest trends this season is the pencil skirt. I’ve seen some in dainty florals, bold hawaiian prints, solid colors, crochets, laces and stripes just like mine. I don’t wear a lot of knee-length skirts because I always felt awkward wearing them but I see a certain level of “sophistication” in women who wear them well.
I only own a couple pieces of pencil skirts, this stripe one from Collage Boutique (c/o) being the second piece in my closet. I wasn’t sure how I was going to look in it but I knew that it will match well with a hot pink or magenta top which I happened to have from Marks & Spencer (re-styled).
A lot of times when I go shopping, I tend not to have an idea of what kind of pieces I would like to mix and match. When I saw this skirt, I knew right away what kind of top style would look good with it.
But that’s not even the exciting part yet…as I kept browsing Collage Boutique’s online store, I found this pair of bright yellow platform pumps (c/o)! This may sound a bit dramatic but it felt as if my fashion life was complete at that very moment. Well…you know how it goes. Haha! Anyways, yellow pumps are not always easy to find. So ladies, if ever you’re looking for one, Collage Boutique has them.
On another note, we found another sweet spot for photo shoot location. The lighting and the weather cooperated quite well except for a few fights with the wind, the shoot went well, thus, this is quite a pic spam.

The magenta top is a perfect pairing to this gorgeous skirt! Yellow is my color of the moment and these are hot heels. Great find…you were smart to grab them :) I like the Naughty Monkey pair, but they are open with chunky heels. Is there room for 2 pairs of yellow heels in my closet?…uh, yeah!
