Before I talk about my outfit, sick let me just say that I'm beyond thrilled to have found a hill in Houston! Yes, I promise, I'm not lying it's a hill! If you're a Houstonian and laughing right now, don't worry, I got the same smirks and laughs when I told some friends on Facebook that there is a hill in Houston. Of course no one believed me, haha. One friend even said "The only hills in Houston are the freeways."
So anyway, anything above the street level can be called a hill right? LOL. Well, this is an elevated part in a park. One side overlooks the rest of the barren park, the other side overlooks Highway 288. It's just another spot to change the background of my pictures a little bit. The funny thing is that if you will notice, the hill is so green while the trees are so dried up.
Now on to my outfit…I found this Mauve electric-pleated fish tail dress at a local boutique, immediately fell in love with it and next thing I know, it's in my closet. Ha! I wore it at a friend's wedding last December. The color is neutral but I love how it's just flow-y. If you have been shopping lately or just watching the trends, you will see that fish tail and assymmetrical dresses are so in right now.
Because the dress is beige, I wore my hot pink Michael Antonio wedges and paired it up with my hot pink snake skin Steve Madden clutch to give the whole ensemble a pop of color. Statement wedges and clutch! What do you think?
See! I told you it's a hill! :) Don't you just love the tail of this dress?
I used my elaborate hearts and pearls bib necklace to make it look more sophisticated since the dress has a pretty simple round neckline. It gives room enough for bib necklace such as mine.
And whenever you're wearing a pretty simple dress, if you don't feel like layering, then accessorize! You can never go wrong with bracelets and bangles. Whenever you have little extra $, make sure to stock up on bangles. The dress came with a cute tiny pink belt also.
Not a very sharp picture but it gives you a glimpse of my Steve Madden clutch and my Forever21 mint green and gold bracelet I used on my other wrist.
