For those of you who have been following me for awhile and have read my story, you know that I have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology but I never really got to practice it. I think I went into a mid-life crisis right in my early 20s (what?) that I decided not to go on in the science field. Anyway, I knew I've always had this artistic and entrepreneurial knack in me that lead me to be quite antsy in my choice field back in college. I also never had a corporate job. I was trying to find out what I really wanted to do in life and for the meantime, I would just work here and there until I discovered what I wanted to do. So dressing up corporately was never a thing for me but thought it would be fun to see how I would look like in a corporate outfit if I were to put one together. Boy…I couldn't stay away from colors and patterns! In downtown Houston whenever we would shoot, I would see corporate people wearing mostly blacks, greys, and browns. You know the usual colors. I think I would get in trouble in my job if I work in a corporate environment because I'd always show up in colorful suit and definitely with prints or patterns. With the exception of the clutch, I would so wear this, after all I put it together. Ha! Of course, Spiegel will definitely be my first stop to shop for corporate outfits.
And I don't mind showing up fashionably late like this if I'm wearing my super awesome Rakani Watch! Oh my gosh, please check this watch out because it's gorgeous. When I got this watch in the mail and I showed it to my mom, she was shaking the watch thinking that the numbers fell off. Kinda tricky and fun but I love it! So this watch is called "What Time?" from their Fashionably Late collection. The company was born when Chirayu gave his girlfriend a watch and she asked him if the watch is meant to keep her from being late. I mean, we ladies can take a little bit longer than we ought to be fixing ourselvers a lot of times, soooo….if you are going to be late, you might as well be fashionably late! What I love about Rakani is the story behind each of the collections they have, so please check them out because the story of each collection is really worth your time!
