THE BRAND
You've probably first read about CAbi here on my blog on my posts CAbi Home Shopping Experience and Neon and Pastel Eye Candy from CAbi. Carol Anderson, buy the designer behind the brand, pharm and the founder, has been an apparel designer for over 25 years and sold her collections in high-end department stores like Nordstrom’s and specialty boutiques across the country.
CAbi, an acronym for Carol Anderson by Invitation, is a lucrative career opportunity for women that brings Carol’s designs directly to the customer. It is the largest direct sales company in the world.
But not only that…You know how shopping can be tedious sometimes? The company's business model brings a twist that makes shopping more fun and pleasurable again – and with friends! They could have not put it any better what they are all about – FUN, FRIENDS, and FASHION!
THE EVENT
Last week, I was invited by CAbi to attend The Scoop event in Anaheim, CA. The Scoop, a bi-annual event, is a few days of robust professional development, training and education for their Consultants and where the upcoming collection is showcased in a high-end fashion show. Despite the hassle and the bustle at the airport, with flight delays due to bad weather in Houston and the rush hour traffic in Los Angeles, I was fortunate enough to still see a good 10 minutes of the fashion show and a great speech by the company's president, Kimberly.
So what is the real scoop about The Scoop? Have you ever imagined being in a huge room with over 3,200 women, all so crazy about fashion? The energy was beyond electrifying! But not only that, these women make a living by doing something they are absolutely passionate about. Yes, that's correct, making a living while having fun!
While standing in line to pay for my purchase (Thanks to Marie!) at their shopping event, I asked the lady behind me how long she's been a CAbi consultant. Happily she replied 7 years and has sent her son to law school by doing CAbi full time. The local consultant I have met at the show here in Houston has been doing this also for 5 years full time while raising her children and being with her family. I'm sure that this was just two of the stories I know of from amongst thousands of the consultants that they have. I do not know exactly the potential income that a consultant could make but I do remember being at the event where some notable women were rewarded for making sales of over $70,000.00 in one season!
Truly, each and everyone of the women who were there are pursuing happiness by doing what they love, doing something good for others, and taking control of their future and the future of their family!

THE LOCATION
THE SHOPPING FUN!
The whole event was just not complete without shopping! Several thousands square footage of space full of CAbi goodies from past seasons all in marked down prices. It was a fashionista's playground! I was able to snag myself and my mom a few cute pieces! I can't wait to show you in an outfit post!

THE STYLING and PRODUCT TRAINING
One of the sessions at the convention was the styling and the product training where a couple of the designers showed the consultants how they can style the different collections this season. It was exciting to see how each of the pieces can be styled in several different ways for different occasions.
